Alina Habba has stepped down as the chief federal prosecutor in the state. This follows a court battle that questioned her right to occupy the role.

Official Departure

US Attorney General, the Attorney General, announced the prosecutor's departure on the start of the week. Bondi stated that the judicial decision made it unworkable for the official to effectively run her office.

"Let no one confuse following the order as giving up," she wrote. "This battle will now stretch across America."
