Administration Condemns 'Democratic Hoax' as More Epstein Estate Photos Released
Democratic lawmakers have made public a fresh batch of what they termed "alarming" images from the property of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—combined with another 70 released later on Friday constitute a minuscule portion of the almost 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the actions and ties of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by apparent suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking offenses.
High-Profile Individuals in the Images
Among the prominent personalities shown in the opening set are celebrities featuring movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are obscured.
White House Response
The White House responded to the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of selectively "choosing" the pictures for electoral motives and to "seek to establish a false account."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a White House spokesperson stated, insisting that "the Trump administration has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by frequently urging openness, disclosing numerous documents of papers, and demanding more inquiries into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Panel Member Remarks
The photographs were disclosed devoid of explanation, but per a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's links with the rich and powerful.
"It is time to halt this White House cover-up and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he declared in a comment.
The publication of these images coincides with the oversight committee pressing on with its probe into the Epstein matter.
